The 2024 Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park Christmas ornament is available now for pre-order ahead of the Christmas shopping season. Adorned with the name of the town you live in, are originally from, or just like to visit, this ornament is bound to make your Christmas tree one of fond memories. This ornament can be reserved for $12 and shipped for an additional $10.For non-online orders please message Mary George Rhone on Facebook or send her an email here: mrhone@renovoheritage.org This ornament was designed by Samantha Phillips at Log Cabin Creations in Farwell. Please note: if you would like to pick your order up in mid-October at the Flaming Foliage Festival, please order by the end of September. The Annual Kayak Poker Float has been CANCELED due to low water in the river. We are very sorry, and all registrations to this point will be refunded.
Come on out for the 2024 Annual Kayak Poker Float!July 20, 2024$30 registration fee. Must be 21 to participate in the poker.Poker: $5Meet at Good Neighbor Craft House in Hyner between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM for registration and to load the kayaks. The float begins in Westport and ends in Hyner.There will be a safety briefing at 9:45 AM, and we will load the bus at 10 AM.Be sure to stay for entertainment starting at 7 PM!

Weather got you down? Planned to attend the PA State Flaming Foliage Festival parade on Saturday but now have no where to go? Don’t worry. We got you.
Join us at the Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park on Saturday, October 14, 2023 beginning at 10:00 a.m. We will feed your bellies with ham pot pie, meatball subs, soft drinks, and coffee for a donation. You may, BYOB. Tables will be set up inside so you can eat, sit, and visit with friends. Bring board games and playing cards for euchre games.
Music will be provided by DJ George. Raffle tickets for a Vintage Rifle and our Black Friday Cash will be available for purchase. As well as our new Renovo, PA t-shirts, Renovo Pottery, Train Whistles, Commemorative Blocks, and more!
Don’t let the rain dampen your spirts. Grab an umbrella, attend the Bucktail Homecoming Football Game on Friday night, and hang out with the Renovo Heritage Park gang on Saturday!

October 13, 20232023 Rock-A-Thon
For the entire month of October, the Alpha Sigma Tau Chapter of Lock Haven University will be raising money for both their local and national philanthropies, Roads to Peace and Dress for Success. Throughout the month, they have planned a few fundraisers to help not only spread awareness of these great organizations but also to help support these organizations in any way that they can.
On October 13th and 14th, they will be hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year, their annual Rock-A-Thon! For 24 hours, their sisters will rock on rocking chairs all day and night to raise money for both of their philanthropies. This event runs from 2 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday in front of the Lock Haven University bell tower. As you drive by to the PA State Flaming Foliage Festival, stop by and say, “Hi!”

Photo Contest will determine image on first ‘Clinton County Landmarks’ Puzzle Series
The Clinton County Visitors Bureau is creating a puzzle series featuring local landmarks, and the first puzzle will showcase one of the area’s most famous and most visited site, Hyner View!
A PHOTO CONTEST is underway to select the picture that will serve as the face of the puzzle. People are invited to submit high-quality, high-resolution photographs of Hyner View to the Clinton County Visitors Bureau for consideration.
Deadline to submit photos is midnight on July 24, 2022.

The Renovo area is a gateway to the Appalachian Mountain Range – a plateau with hundreds of hollows and valleys that were carved by runoff from glaciers that covered 30% of northern Pennsylvania. For centuries, it has been the streams and creeks running down the valleys and feeding into the West Branch of the Susquehanna River that opened pathways for people to pass through the mountains to explore the beauty and natural resources of this part of Penn’s Woods. It is within those valleys and along those waterways that we find Renovo’s heritage.
In this episode, Martha Sykes sets the scene for Renovo’s beginning through the writing of J.Milton Furey.
If there is a myth, monster, or mystery to be tracked down, Lou Bernard is hot on its trail. Lou is a local historian who has spent a lifetime investigating the people, places, creatures, and events that compose the colorful side of our local history.
