RENOVO RAILROAD HERITAGE

Honoring Renovo Area Railroad

The Philadelphia and Erie Railroad designed Renovo and built the railroad repair shops to service locomotives and rail cars. Railroading is a part of the story of practically every family that lived in Renovo. This section focuses on the legacy of the railroad in Renovo and the surrounding area.

About The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park

The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park was established in 2000 for the purpose of uniting, preserving, and promoting the history, heritage, culture, and community pride of the Greater Renovo Area; to build a heritage park center to become the focal point of the area’s ethnic, industrial, and commercial past; to help develop the local economy by supporting new business and nonprofit endeavors inspired by the heritage of the Renovo Area; and to illustrate how the area’s past ties to the present.
