John A Renehan was born in 1907 in Renovo, PA. He was the son of James and Emma Burk Renehan.

John was a US Air Force T. Sgt in WWII in the 15th Troop Carrier Squadron in Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart for serious wounds sustained on September 18, 1944, from a mission over Holland. He re-enlisted in the armed forces at the end of the war.

John died on April 14, 1948, while in Germany from a heart condition. His body was sent home for burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hyner, PA on May 14.
