DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE NOW\nFor information\, contact…\n Tracy Shady at tshady@renovoheritage.org or (570) 755-1324\n \nIn honor of the township’s Bicentennial Anniversary\, the Chapman Township Board of Supervisors made available to the public a collection of Limited Edition Commemorative Henry rifles for anyone interested in a collector’s grade rifle\, family heirloom\, or gift. \nThe commemorative rifles included three models; the Henry Standard\, the Henry Golden Boy\, and the Henry Big Boy. \nThe Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park received one of the rifles ( the Henry Golden Boy ) from the Chapman Township Board of Supervisors as a donation stipulating that it should be used to raise funds for Heritage Park. We are grateful for their generous donation and thank them for their support!\nHenry rifle history: Benjamin Tyler Henry invented the first practical\, lever action repeating rifle. The Henry rifle\, patented in 1860\, gave a single man the firepower of a dozen marksmen armed with muzzle loading muskets.  The rifle changed the outcome of several engagements in the Civil War.  The Henry rifle would go on to play a significant\, if not dominant role in the frontier days of the American West. It would soon become one of the most legendary\, respected\, and sought-after rifles in the history of firearms.  A contemporary collection isn’t complete without a Henry rifle.  \n  \n \nThe Henry Golden Boy .22 caliber rifle with a brass finished receiver and octagon barrel.\nOnly 20 of these were made available.\n  \n \n  \nThe right side of the butt stock includes the Howard and Perley sawmill in North Bend (circa 1895) featuring \na North Bend & Kettle Creek Railroad engine alongside the engraved plaque from The First Purchase of Forest Land monument. \n  \n \n  \n  \nThe right-side pistol grip includes an image of the first fire engine in service by Chapman Township Fire Company \nand the rifle’s individual gun number . \n \nLeft side pistol grip pictures the Elks Country Club in 1930. \n \n  \nThe right-side forearm stock includes the North Bend School house (1897) and the Keller & Darby Memorial. \n  \nThe left-side forearm stock highlights the Civilian Conservation Corps camps with pictures of the \nNorth Bend Depot (circa 1862) and the Hyner View CCC worker statue.
